Nita Rogers is an Early Years Consultant and a former Headteacher. She has substantive and successful experience and expertise in teaching, leadership and teacher training gained over 40 years in London schools.
Nita developed and led a ‘soft federation’ of two Nursery Schools working towards a ‘hard federation’. She enabled stakeholders to develop a shared common vision, identified and secured leadership expertise and capabilities, ensured good and outstanding teaching and created a learning community, streamlined resources, created robust management systems and procedures and effective governance significantly improving children’s outcomes, ensuring future sustainability.
Nita has worked with schools to identify their unique expertise and supported them to provide training for both teachers and NQTs. She has also enabled Nursery schools to use their expertise to train student teachers in partnership with a higher education institution.
Other Consultant work undertaken has included early years data analysis, preparing for Ofsted inspections, developing effective subject leadership, monitoring systems, performance management,teaching teams, planning, parent partnerships, eliciting the child’s voice, moderation and NQT training. Nita is both passionate about enabling Early Years leaders to lead confidently and competently, and equipping teaching teams to support young children’s creative and critical thinking through the dramatic use of stories.
