A recent Linden Learning coaching project.
The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London was already committed to using mentoring as an essential part of the student experience in groups, in one-to-ones, in formal mentoring sessions and as part of teaching.
Our brief was to extend the range of skills and techniques available to talented and committed staff. Linden Learning provided direct teaching, group and individual coaching for staff and also worked with students.
The Guildhall is now in its third year of the project. Currently 44 professors from across the conservatoire are involved, including 6 now studying for a postgraduate diploma in coaching and mentoring. The project is continuing into 2015-2016 and the Guildhall is hoping to invite colleagues from other conservatoires to join them.
