We provide a range of leadership courses (short and long) and workshops for middle and senior leaders in local authorities, schools and academies. Topics are as diverse as our clients and include using data strategically, developing a whole school approach to communication, using delegation effectively and developing a personal leadership style.
Ever been stopped from delegating because “it’s quicker to do it by myself” or “if you want something done properly do it yourself”? Or perhaps you’re reluctant because every one else seems so busy with their work! This course can help you find a way to delegate that works for both you and the person you are delegating too.
There are many different forms of conflict, and the way we manage them is as different as we are. Conflict – overt and covert – can also take up lots of time and energy in any organisation. This course teaches you how to use the objective side of your brain to analyse the situation and identify the right strategic approach. It also teaches you how to use the empathetic and emotionally intelligent side of your brain to resolve conflicts before they happen and/or to recognize that sometimes necessary function of conflict and how to use that and move on with positive relationships in place.
Developing a Personal Leadership Style
This is a useful day conference popular with schools wanting to bring together senior and middle managers to explore the different faces of leadership and reflect on their own personal influences, experiences and strengths. Some clients choose to incorporate a full Myers Briggs Assessment into the day to add to the data delegates then use to identify their personal leadership development plan.
Bespoke facilitation for specific issues
Are you feeling stuck with your development plan or facing a financial barrier to where you want to go? Perhaps you have a new team and want to reexamine your core values and drivers, or work through a difficult Ofsted experience.
New Leaders in a Primary School

Impact: “More confidence… more able to make decisions and also help others do this… more effective and able to keep on top of workload” (from client feedback)
New Leaders Course
Bespoke course for Greenwich Local Authority, focusing in particular on the people skills needed by new leaders wanting to motivate a team – and be confident enough to tackle underperformance.
Impact: 100% positive evaluations, excellent attendance and continuing improved results in the borough. Two additional local authorities have since commissioned similar courses.
In addition to coaching and mentoring, we can also provide practical support for new leaders and those working on challenging improvement plans with Ofsted style reviews, more informal joint observation and feedback sessions, curriculum development, critical incident support and more.
